The Knowledge You Need to Know about Purchasing as a Nanotechnolgy Scientist

As a scientist or/and engineer working with nanotechnology, there are a lot of hardware development work and chemical related work, covering vacuum (UHV included), material synthesis, lithographical patterning, dry/wet etch, and material/device characterization. I often feel it would be of great help if there is a list of sources, not only giving out the major vendors, but also giving out the tips for purchasing.  This is post is aiming to share the knowledge about the purchasing lab supply and equipment, with tens of years of working experience in nanotechnology related research and industrial environment.
